Pixi Beauty

Hey Beauties,

I know its been a long damn time since I’ve posted!

Life has gone by and a lot has happened in the last few months but anywhooo..

As a beauty product junkie I am always on a hunt to find the best skincare to handle my oily T-Zone and occasional dry patches. Here are a few products I am obsessing over at the moment. .

Pixi beauty has been a craze among the youtube/blogger world especially the infamous ‘Glow Tonic’.

The first product I picked up from the Skin treats range was the ‘Glow Peel Pads’ I hovered towards this as I didnt have anything like this in my regime already. The glow peel pads contain 20% Gycolic acid and rose water to help exfoliate your skin and get rid of the dead skin cells. By getting rid of the dead skin it will leave you with a fresh glow. You can only use this once a week due to how strong it is and on a day that you don’t use glow tonic. I am loving the results at the moment (its been a few months now, using it once a week). My skin feels so much clearer and softer since using this along side what I already do.

I then went on to try the ‘Glow Mud Cleanser’ as it is clay based it is really good at cleansing out clogged pores which is what I need as I have quite an oily T-Zone. Using this every morning has really helped control the excess oils I get throughout the day. I love the texture of this and how clean and fresh it makes my skin every morning. The only down fall to using this is that it runs out quite quickly, lasted me just over a month and a half.

Last but not least I couldn’t go to the Pixi store without trying the ‘Glow Tonic Exfoliating Toner’. This product has been raved about the most in the blogging/youtube world! I am happy to say that it definitely lives up to the hype. It contains 5% Gycolic acid which leaves the skin fresh and glory by gently exfoliating the skin. This bottle lasts ages! It feels really nice on this skin and makes it feel hydrated again.

If you want to know more or to purchase any of these I’ll leave the links below. .

August Make Up Favourites!

 Hey Beauties!

Its been a very long time, I know! Apologies for being MIA on the blog, I did lose my blogging mojo but its slowly coming back now 😀

Just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to everyone that still came to visit the blog while I was gone.

I really really appreciate it, much love to you all!

Today I am here to share my absolute FAVES of the past month or so. I’ve been doing the same make up look almost everyday with these products, I’m obsessed!

A little preview of a few of my make up essentials! Little pouch I bought from H&M a little while ago, this goes everywhere with me. Its mainly filled with lip products though.

(Some products in this picture have not been mentioned in the post, if you have any questions you are welcome to leave them in the comments below).

Estee Lauder Double Wear | Spiced Sand & Double Wear Concealer | 09 Medium Warm

This foundation gives me life! I rave about this to absolutely anyone that will talk make up with me. I have gotten so many compliments on my skin because of how good this is. It stays in place all day and still looks fresh after a long day. I recommend using a buffing brush to blend it in flawlessly.

If you like a bright under eye concealer this one is for you. Paired with the Double Wear foundation it is ah-mazing! I love how radiant it is under the eyes, its not to light (in colour) but still looks bright. I like to blend concealer in with a beauty blender which reduces the amount of creasing for me. Set with a finishing powder so it doesn’t crease throughout the day.

Kiko Bronzer Powder | Shade 103 Terracota

Since coming back from my holiday (way back in may) I have been desperately trying to keep the bronzed/sun kissed look going on. This bronzer is the perfect shade, not too orangey for all over bronzing. I use it around the hair line and lightly under my cheek bones (or what should be cheek bones lol) and the chin/neck area.

Kiko Highlighter | 02 Beam of Light

If your a highlighter lover you NEED this in your make up bag! It is an amazing shade of GLOW (pinky/champagne) that every girl needs in their life. It is so pigmented and looks amazing on! All I can say is you. need. this… NOW! I have converted a few of my girls already and they have also been amazed.

Topshop Glow Stick

This is an old gem that I fell in love with again! I use this before I use a powder highlight. It gives you an extra oomph in the glow department. I think they have discontinued this shade and sadly the name of it has rubbed off so I couldn’t even tell you what its called 😦 .. BUT Kiko do a very similar shade here. Using this on its own gives you more of a fresh dewy look which I also love when I don’t have much time to get ready.

L – Kiko Lip Liner | Mauve 504 & R – Kiko Lip Gloss Pencil | Natural Pink 08

Kiko is my make up heaven! I never leave without a new lip pencil or lipstick. Everything in there is so affordable and amazing in quality. These are my currant favourite nudes alone and together. Cannot get enough of the nude lip this season. If you haven’t tried any of the lip products you need to do so ASAP! You will not regret it I tell you.

Hope you enjoyed this post and found something new to try out! I would love to see what you’ve been loving in the month of August. Please leave your links down below for me to have a little snoop and perhaps add to my never ending wish list

Until next time lovelies!

February Wishlist | Make-Up Edition

IMG_1212No matter how much make-up I buy there is always something new on this never ending wishlist! I thought I would show you all what I’m lusting over this month. You might want to add it to your own wishlist if you haven’t already 🙂

1. Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation | £29.50

I have a small sample size of this and I absolutely love it! I cannot wait to get my hands on a full size.

2. Tom Ford Lipstick | £26

The packaging is just everything! Such a luxurious product I think everyone needs something from Tom Ford.

3. Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer | £21.50

After trying out the foundation I have high hopes for the concealer. I have heard a few good reviews so we will have to wait and see.

4. Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick | £23

Another brand we all need a little something from. The colour range is amazing, this classic red is a must have!

5. Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow Palette | £49

I have heard some great reviews on this palette too. I am in need of a good high lighter too.

Mini Make Up Haul

I love a good haul, don’t you?

I picked all of this up at Selfridges except the mascara which is from Boots. Super excited to try these all out.

I am so obsessed with painting my nails and these colours will be the only shades I will wear this autumn/winter. I really can’t let go of nude shades yet, they just go with absolutely everything! Can’t wait to paint my nails!

These are THE CUTEST little blenders ever! I love love love using beauty blenders to apply my foundation and concealer. I have never actually tried the original beauty blender as I use the beauty blender by Real Techniques which is amazing! When I saw these I just could not resist. Applying concealer should be even more of a breeze now with these micro minis!

My good friend Maria (click here for her amazing blog) recommended me this concelear. I have been on the look out for a new concealer as my current one (Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer) is running out. Looking foward to seeing how I get on with this.

Now lip pencils are my thaaaang! Seriously as of late I have been buying more lip pencils then lipsticks. I just love the matte finish and how easy it is to apply. They also last aaaalll day long! I am again OBSESSED with these two shades! I really can’t let go of nude shades this season. Rumour has it, Soar is actually a kylie Jenner fave!! Both these shades look amazing and effortlessly pull a plain look together!

If you know me you will know how much I love anything with Argan Oil in it. It is the only thing I use on my hair and it makes my hair super soft! When I saw this i just had to give it a go. Hopefully it will make my lashes grow too!

I hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know if there are any posts you would like to see in the future 🙂

Enjoy the rest of your week!

Review | Bourjois Velvet Lipstick

IMG_6436Hey girls,

So I have been dying to tell you all about my new fave matte lipsticks by Bourgois! They have been out for a little while now and have only just launched another three shades which I have yet to get my hands on.

You are probably all familiar with the liquid lipsticks that dry matte, there are so many on the market right now but I assure you, nothing compares to this little gem! I am a huge fan of matte lipsticks and  have tried a whole bunch. I always find that liquid to matte lipsticks dries out my lips a bit too much. Then when I reapply it just gets all flaky and doesn’t look nice at all. Another problem I’ve had with other brands is that once you swipe on the lipstick and go over it, it takes off the colour again. Not very pratical when your in a rush.

Back to this ah-mazing new lipstick.. Bourjois velvet matte. *angels sing* This is my dream matte lipstick in a little cute tube. I always liked the look of bourjour products but I’ve only ever tried their chocolate bronzer which was in every girls make up bag back in school! Well these matte lipsticks now come in a range of 8 beautiful shades. Theres the red shades, pinky shades and nude shades. I have yet to try the new nude shade but I will get my hands on it soon.

I picked up two shades red and bright pink.

Right | Red, Personne ne Rouge. Left | Pink, Pink Pong.

I chose this red shade as it was the closest to a ruby woo blue tone shade. The best kind of true red every girls NEEDS in their make up bag. These are soo pigmented and really do show up on the lips as they are in the tube. I was so impressed with how hydrated my lips felt even after a long day. The longevity of these is also a plus, I can go a whole day without the need to reapply. Even after taking the lipstick off you are left with a stain. The only bummer about these lipsticks is the colour range! I hope in time they do bring out more shades.

I give the Bourjois Velvet Lipsticks an 8/10 for their amazing colour pay off, long staying power and a matte formula that doesn’t dry out your lips at all (brownie points). I just hope they bring out more colours soon!

You can purchase them at most boots and super drug stores and other on lie retailers. Here is a link to purchase them online.

Until next time ladies, I hope you have a lovely week 🙂

Lip Product Addicts Tag

Hey lovelies,

I am back with another lip product post with a little twist. This is the “lip product addict” tag (that was a mouthful lol). I hope you enjoy this post. My next post will not be lip product related I promise! I am open to any post suggestions too 🙂

 Here goes..

1. Favourite balm/treatment?

My favourite lip balm at the moment is by Nivea the vanilla scent, purely for the smell * heart eyes * .. oh, and its moisturizing on the lips!

 2. Best eye-catching red?

The BEST red has to be Ruby Woo! It looks amazing on anyone and everyone. The perfect red shade for day and night in my opinion.

3. Best luxury and best drug store?

I don’t even have any “luxury” lip products. A non drugstore lipstick I do have (apart from mac) is a Nars lipstick in the shade Valparaiso, a dark red/berry. This was my go-to berry shade in the winter. It stayed matte and non drying all day too!

Now for drugstore lipsticks I cant decide between the Revlon Matte Colourburst *heart eyes* and the Bourjois Rouge edition velvet lipstick *heart eyes x 2*. They are both amazing in there own ways! You must try them out for yourself girls! The only downfall I would say is the small colour range..hurry up and make more!!

4. Best MAC lipstick?

Apart from Ruby Woo, my other FAVE is Up the Amp! I just love the purple shade as it goes well with my complexion and looks amazing with a tan. It isn’t your everyday pink or nude but I like to wear it when my outfit is plane and simple. Having a bold lip makes the outfit that much better!

 5. The most disappointing?

The most disappointing lipstick I have is the Sleek Matte me. I purchased this out of curiosity. I hadn’t heard or seen any reviews so I thought I would give it a go. I picked up a summery coral colour ‘party pink’. I love the packaging though. When I applied this onto the lips it was hard to get a nice solid colour. Every time I swiped the brush over my lips it would take off the previous coat. I didn’t bother with it again after that.

 6. Liner, yes or no?

I used to wear eyeliner every single day. But now I only use liner on a night out if I can be bothered to perfect the winged look. I’m usually running late on a night out so I give liner a miss.

 7. Best gloss?

I don’t really wear glosses although I am trying to get into them. I love the nude/pastel pink look at the moment. The best gloss I do have is the Clarins instant light natural lip perfecter (another mouthful). Its lovely alone and on top of lipstick.

 8. Something extra?

I think I am starting to get a little obsessed with lip liners. I have one too many nude liners and a few other staple shades. I tend to use the nude/pink colour all over my lips. I love the matte finish it gives and it lasts for hours without drying my lips!

I could talk about lip products for hours! Let me know if you have tried any of these or anything you would recommend 🙂
